Dive Medic Classes
Combining a love of medicine and scuba-diving, Code Blue Technology has developed
classes for the extreme medic. Beginning with Open Water and progressing through
Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, and Public Safety Diver, the classes are geared
towards the paramedic needing to operate in these hazardous environments. Coastal
communities and those living around large bodies of water are constantly in demand
of emergency medical aid from those familiar with working in and around water.
These classes not only provide the student with the knowledge and experience
needed to obtain the scuba-diving certifications, but the classes are geared
towards treating patients in these environments as well.
The Open Water class provides an introduction to the world of scuba-diving, with
instruction in dive tables and equipment usage. The Advanced class delves into
diving at deeper depths, and different environments. Those obtaining the Rescue
Diver certification will be taught how to rescue the injured and tired diver
in small areas as well as the open ocean. Techniques on towing the diver to shore
and administering treatment are covered in-depth. Students successfully passing
the Public Safety Diver class will have first-hand knowledge and experience in
diving in water with low to no visibility, close confines, and obtain knowledge
in underwater body and equipment retrieval and crime scene handling.
No prior experience is necessary. Contact us via phone or email for more information
and list of equipment needed. These classes are in high demand and extremely
rewarding!
